West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has told the club’s official website that it is only a matter of time before his side’s luck begins to change.

The Hammers have endured a disappointing start to the season and currently find themselves 17th in the table, just a point outside of the relegation zone.

Saturday evening saw them pick up one of their most disappointing results as rivals Tottenham Hotspur beat them in dramatic fashion.

Slaven Bilic’s side had lead in the game until the 89th minute when Harry Kane scored from close range to level the scores.

They then gave away a penalty just a minute later, which Kane duly converted, to pick up their seventh defeat of the season.

For some they were unlucky and Bilic insists their luck will begin to change at some point.

“I would rather play the way we did on Saturday then go there and say after the game ‘okay, no complaints, they were much better’” he told the club’s official website.

“Playing like that, it’s only a matter of time before the luck or more concentration will come on our side.”

“We can take a lot of positives from the game, and make no mistake we will, but the three points were there for us.”

It is now up to West Ham to create their own luck and turn their poor form around sooner rather than later.

With just a point separating themselves and Hull City in 18th, there is no denying they are in a relegation battle at present.

At the same time, though, they are just three points away from Southampton in tenth and they must look to start picking up those wins to move up the table so they can forget about looking down it.
