Harry Kane scored twice against West Ham as Tottenham Hotspur won 3-2 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 24-year-old Spurs striker scored both of his goals in the first half. He has now scored four goals in the 2017/18 Premier League campaign already.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic said after the match that Kane should be regarded as one of the best strikers in the world at the moment.

Christian Eriksen had put Spurs 3-0 up after the break, but West Ham fought back to score two goals from Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate.

Despite conceding three goals, Bilic highlighted his satisfaction at his defence’s display. However, he said that his side were powerless to prevent the England striker from scoring.

Bilic added that the “best compliment” he can give to Kane is that his three centre-backs didn’t have a bad game, but still he managed to score twice.

“The best compliment I can give him is that we played with three centre-backs and I really think that [Jose] Fonte – who went out for tactical reasons – [Winston] Reid and Angelo Ogbonna all had really good games,” said Bilic, as quoted by Four Four Two.

“So, my three centre-backs who are mostly against him and Dele Alli, they didn’t have a bad game and still, still he was using those situations and basically decided the game and my centre-backs were good. That says volumes.

“He’s one of the best, yeah. If there are ten of them then yes, if there are only two then maybe not, but ten of them, yes. He does it week in, week out now.”

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino also showered praise on Kane, when asked if the 24-year-old is one of the best in the Premier League.

“Not only English, I think in the world. For me Harry is one of the best in the world,” said Pochettino, as quoted by Football London.

“It is too hard for me to find the word to describe him because in the last three seasons I am telling you how he is. I am in love, like the fans are in love, his team-mates are in love, not only because he scores goals but because how he is, a professional, humble.

“He is a very good example in football today, this big business. He must keep all the managers that managers like me appreciate a lot and that is why I say to you I am in love with him for these reasons.”
