Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has scored 31 goals for PSG this season, has been linked with West Ham United in recent weeks.

Slaven Bilic has told the Daily Mail that he cannot see Zlatan Ibrahimovic being a West Ham United player next season.

Co-owner David Sullivan confirmed that the Hammers would like to bring in Ibrahimovic last week, as they look to enhance the quality of their squad for next season.

Bilic would not entirely rule out the possibility of the Swedish striker signing up, but the Croatian boss did admits that any move seems unlikely.

“Nothing is unrealistic but I said my opinion — I can’t see Ibrahimovic playing for West Ham,” Bilic said.

Ibrahimovic has previously suggested that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League, but The Mail suggest that he is demanding £600,000-a-week.

West Ham have ambitious plans ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium, but they are unlikely to be willing to pay those sort of wages.

The Hammers have been linked with a range of other targets though, with Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi believed to be on their wishlist (The Daily Mail).

Batshuayi is one of the most in demand forwards in Europe, but Bilic believes that Dimitri Payet’s success with his side should encourage more players to make the switch.

“Payet has raised his game by playing for West Ham and that can change things,” he added. “Players should think now that if they are going to West Ham it is a step up in their career if anything.”
