West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has commented on West Ham potentially making moves for Simone Zaza and Wilfried Bony, via the club’s official Twitter account.
The Hammers are expected to be in the hunt for a new striker before the end of the transfer window after injuries decimated their squad.
First they lost new signing Andre Ayew for four months when he was injured in the defeat to Chelsea, while this week saw Andy Carroll succumb to his latest injury.

A move for Bony has been touted by the Telegraph, while Gianluca di Marzio claims that contact has been made about a move for Zaza and now Bilic has commented on the prospect of signing both players.
“In terms of signings if something good quality wise comes up we are going to act,” he told the club’s Twitter account.
“We were linked with him (Zaza) last year and he is a top player. We were in contact with him last year and will see what happens.”
“He (Bony) is also an option because he plays in the position we are looking for. I leave negotiations to the Chairman and Tony Henry.”

It remains to be seen if West Ham can secure the striker they need before the end of the transfer window.
They are not the only side on the hunt for a new forward, with several sides needing to improve in that area before the window closes.
And after already spending big money to improve themselves, it will be interesting to see if the Hammers are willing to spend further to secure either Bony or Zaza.
