Could the former West Ham United boss succeed Mark Hughes at Stoke City?

Former West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is among the favourites to become Stoke City manager with one bookmaker.
Stoke sacked Mark Hughes after Saturday’s FA Cup defeat at the hands of League Two Coventry City, and have placed Gary Rowett and Martin O’Neill on their list of potential replacements, according to reports.

But Bilic, who was sacked by West Ham after two-and-a-half years in November 2017, is closely behind the pair – who are 13/8 and 5/2 respectively – at 3/1 with Sky Bet.
Unlike Rowett and O’Neill – who are employed by Derby County and Republic of Ireland respectively – Bilic remains out of work, and would in theory be easier for Stoke to attain.
The Potters may have to move fast, however, should they wish to appoint the Croat, who is Australia’s top target to lead them at this summer’s World Cup, according to Goal.
Bilic – who has also managed the Croatian national team, Lokomotiv Moscow and Besiktas – led West Ham to seventh- and 11th-placed finishes before being replaced by David Moyes.

Two more Stoke-linked bosses, Graham Potter and Ryan Giggs, are 7/1 and 18/1 respectively to land the role with Sky Bet.
