West Ham United have won just once in the Premier League so far this season.

Slaven Bilic has admitted to West Ham United’s official site that he is concerned about his side’s inability to perform for 90 minutes so far this season.

West Ham have started the new campaign in dire form, and have won just one of their first six Premier League matches.

The Hammers look completely bereft of confidence, and Bilic admits that he is worried about his side’s poor sequence of results.

“I am concerned,” Bilic admitted. “If we are talking about the last five Premier League games it’s simply not the way we expected it to be, it’s definitely not good and that’s why the only thing we are thinking about is the game on Saturday against Middlesbrough.

“With one win we can build everything back and we have a good chance at home. We are a team that is alive, the players are good together, they train, they listen, we talk about it a lot.

“But we need to do it in a game and not for half an hour, or an hour, or when we are one down or four down. But we have to do it for 90 minutes.”

West Ham have conceded 11 times in their last three matches, and were completely outplayed by Southampton in their most recent outing.

The Saints ran out 3-0 winners at the London Stadium last weekend, increasing the pressure on Bilic’s men even further.

West Ham were expected to be amongst the contenders for a European spot this term, but the top six looks a long way off now.

The Hammers are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table, and if they lose against Middlesbrough they could slip all the way down to bottom of the league, if results elsewhere go against them.
