Manager Tim Sherwood is looking to revamp his squad during the summer transfer window.
Aston Villa are reportedly tracking Nice midfielder Valentin Eyserric, according to French media outlet Le10Sport.
Manager Tim Sherwood is taking charge of his first full transfer window at Villa Park and is naturally looking to make his mark on the squad he inherited from Paul Lambert.
He has already completed the signing of Scott Sinclair after his relatively successful loan spell last season, but it’s not expected they will stop there.
That has led to their interest in Eysserric, who is thought to be out of favour with manager Claude Puel at the French side.
The attacking midfielder didn’t enjoy the best of seasons last year registering just two goals and four assists in 36 appearances, with a third of his games coming from the bench.
Should Villa make a move for the player though, its likely they will face competition for his signature, with both Lille and Bordeaux thought to also be interested in a move.
Of course, much will likely factor on striker Christian Benteke whose future at the club is as yet unknown following intense speculation over a potential transfer away.
