Everton have been linked with the Southampton goalkeeper this summer.
England’s Fraser Forster during training
Southampton will strongly resist any move from Everton for goalkeeper Fraser Forster, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The Blues officially made Ronald Koeman their new manager this week as they sealed his move from the Saints.
It has been reported that he has been handed a huge transfer budget to work with this summer to try and turn his new team into top four contenders in the Premier League.

Already there have been reports linking him with a move for several of his former stars and Forster is one of them.
The Toffees are in need of a new number one goalkeeper next season after Tim Howard made a return to the MLS at the end of last season, signing for the Colorado Rapids.
That leaves Joel Robles as the only senior number one, and so far there have been no suggestions he will retain the position for the long term.

However, should they make a move to bring Forster to Goodison Park they will face a tough fight to convince Southampton to sell, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that they would strongly rebuff any approach.
Of course, with such big money reportedly on offer on Merseyside now, they may be able to tempt them into a sale but for now it appears he would not be an easy purchase.
