Germany’s Shkodran Mustafi reacts after missing a chance to score
According to the Guardian, Shkodran Mustafi is set to undergo a medical before the weekend ahead of a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have been locked in negotiations with Valencia for the Germany international over the last few weeks.
They are in need of a new central defender after being left short of centre backs following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista.

A move looked unlikely as the two clubs haggled over his asking price, however, the Guardian is now reporting that the two sides have agreed on a £35 million fee for the player.
As a result, he is set to travel to London on Friday, with the newspaper reporting he could undergo a medical before this weekend after already agreeing personal terms with the Gunners.

The move will come as a welcome relief to Arsenal fans, who had grown frustrated by their lack of movement in the transfer window.
At £35 million though, it is fair to say that many believe they have paid over the odds and Arsene Wenger in particular will be hoping Mustafi proves that isn’t the case.
