The Newcastle United star has been targeted by Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham United.

Rafa Benitez deciding to stay at Newcastle United has convinced Andros Townsend to remain at the club, reports the Chronicle.
The winger has been linked with a swift exit from St James’ Park this summer, with the Telegraph reporting that Crystal Palace Southampton and West Ham United are all keen on securing his signature after he impressed at the end of this past season.

Newcastle are naturally determined to keep him, and a report from the Daily Express on Tuesday suggested that the Magpies were set to offer him a new and improved deal to ensure he stays at the club.
According to the Chronicle, Townsend is receptive to accepting that offer because he wants to continue working with Benitez next season.

Townsend enjoyed his best form under the Spaniard at the end of last season, becoming their leading man in a late and unsuccessful bid to avoid relegation. As a result he is believed to be willing to spend a year in the second tier under his tutelage.
After some deliberation, Benitez decided to stay at the club next year, and that decision is leading the England international to err towards staying in the North East to continue their current fruitful relationship.
