Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani has bought a house in Rome sparking rumours of a potential return to Italy.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is being tipped to complete a transfer to Serie A side Roma.
Cavani is currently out of favour at the French champions, with manager Laurent Blanc having banished him for two matches after he returned late from a Christmas break – Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi is under a similar punishment.
The attacker made his name at Napoli, but he has struggled for form in Ligue 1, being forced to play out of position, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains the number one striker and focal point of the PSG attack. That has led to rumours he may be sold, with a number of clubs around the world interested in his signature.
The 27-year-old has been linked with Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea, but this Roma rumour is the strongest so far.
The Italians have money to spend and are looking for a proven forward as they attempt to beat Juventus to the Italian title.
