The two sides drew 3-3 at Upton Park on Sunday in a scintillating London derby.

There were plenty of positives for West Ham to take from the draw with Arsenal, Manuel Lanzini has told the club’s official website.

The two sides met in the London derby on Saturday, producing a scintillating game of football, with the score eventually finishing 3-3.

It was a hard fought point for the Hammers, who had found themselves 2-0 down in the game before an Andy Carroll hattrick put them into a 3-2 lead.

They could not hold on to that lead as Laurent Koscielny secured a point for his team, and despite the disappointment of that, Lanzini insists there were plenty of positives to be taken.

“The team showed a lot of character to get a point from the game,” he told whufc.com.

“It is slightly frustrating that we weren’t able to take the three points, but on the whole, I think we take a lot of positives from it. We will now concentrate on Wednesday’s cup game against Manchester United.”

If West Ham are to secure their place in the FA Cup semi finals on Wednesday, they will need to improve their defensive work significantly.

Saturday’s draw with Arsenal was the fourth straight game in all competitions that they have failed to hold on to a lead, with all those games ending in a draw.

That has seen them fall five points behind Manchester City in the race for fourth, and will be something that is frustrating Slaven Bilic at this key stage of the season.
