The Napoli goalkeeper has been linked with a return to Liverpool.

Pepe Reina’s father Miguel Reina says there is nothing in rumours linking his son with a return to Liverpool, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Liverpool have already been busy improving their goalkeeping department this summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp adding Loris Karius to his ranks.

The German has arrived as competition to current number one Simon Mignolet, with the Belgian having come in for criticism again this past season.
It had been suggested that Klopp would not be stopping there though, with rumours suggesting he would make a move to bring former Liverpool goalkeeper Reina back to Anfield.
It seems a move will not be happening though, with his father saying there is nothing in the rumours.
“We do not talk about the market in the family, we are not aware of the interest of Barcelona or other teams,” Corriere dello Sport reports him saying.
“Liverpool? There is nothing, just rumors. The great affection that Pepe has for the Napoli is known.”

Despite his father seemingly ruling out a move, signing Reina would be a smart move for Liverpool.
More than anything he would provide vast experience to the current squad, which is arguably lacking in that department.
He would also provided decent cover for Karius if he is to be number one next year, and could allow them to move on Mignolet after a disappointing spell at Anfield.
