The Gunners made three major signings in the summer transfer window.

Former Arsenal striker Kanu has told the Mirror he believes that Arsenal will do well this season as they have bought good players in the transfer market.
The Gunners endured something of a frustrating summer at first, with Granit Xhaka their only major arrival.
Things improved in the final week of the transfer window though as they secured deals for La Liga duo Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.

Some have questioned whether either player will be good enough to turn them into contenders, but Kanu doesn’t appear to be one of the doubters.
Instead, he believes his old team will do well as, in his opinion, they have bought good players.
“I believe they are going to do well,” he told the Mirror.
“They have bought good players. If they can play the way they played against Watford and keep it going. It doesn’t matter how you play, the most important thing is to get the points when it’s needed.”

Arsene Wenger will be hoping that his signings prove to be more than good ones this season.
The pressure has been on him once again this summer and his late spending in the transfer window was almost certainly done to try and appease those criticising him.
Should they fail to impress at the Emirates, though, and that pressure will almost certainly come back with a vengeance sooner rather than later.
