Arsene Wenger has a tough choice for who should start on Arsenal’s right wing going forward.

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain now returning to full fitness, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has a conundrum to answer.

Joel Campbell has come into the side during the recent injury crisis and he has taken the opportunity with both hands.

He has been more than impressive on several occasions already, with his performance in the 3-0 win over Olympiacos a particularly quality display.

There are still questions about his long-term future at the Emirates though, and it would be no surprise to anybody if Wenger decided to return Oxlade-Chamberlain to the starting eleven heading into the festive fixtures.

But would it be a deserved return? We decided to take a look at the stats to find out.

And as the stats from Opta show, it is a win for Oxlade-Chamberlain in four of the seven categories.

He came out on top when it came to total attempted assists per game, and on target attempted assists per game, although neither player has managed one so far.

His passing was also better, as he has posted more accurate passes per game, but only slightly.

Dribbling has also been somewhere he has beaten the Costa Rican, winning three times as many contests per game than his teammate.

Campbell has however proved to be more of an attacking threat, registering more total scoring attempts per game as well as more on-target scoring attempts per game.

He also has a better goal-to-game ratio than Oxlade-Chamberlain, with the England man yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League.

A clear choice in the stats for Wenger then, although the Frenchman is sure to stay with a winning formula as Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to full fitness.
