England’s Daniel Sturridge celebrates scoring their second goal
Jermaine Jenas has taken a thinly veiled dig at Gareth Bale as he reacted on Twitter to England’s win over Wales.
England left it late on Thursday as a late winner from Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge saw them run out as 2-1 winners.
They had found themselves 1-0 down at half time after a long range effort from Gareth Bale somehow found its way past Joe Hart.

Roy Hodgson reacted at half time though, bringing on Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge to try and turn things around.
They did just that as Vardy grabbed the equaliser and then Sturridge scored the winner to put the Three Lions within touching distance of the knockout stages.
The late goal sparked wild celebrations from England, and Jenas’ reaction on Twitter was a clear dig at Bale’s previous comments, in which he said Wales have “got a lot more passion and pride about us than them [England].” (Sky Sports).
England will now be hoping to finish their group games with a flourish and beat Slovakia next week.
Their progression to the knockout stages is very much in their hands after the win over Wales, but know a victor would see them top Group B an easier draw in the next round.
