The Southampton assistant will not be following Ronald Koeman to Everton.

Everton fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to share their delight that Sammy Lee will not be following Ronald Koeman to the club.
The Blues are expected to complete a deal for Southampton manager Ronald Koeman this week after tempting the Dutchman into a move over the weekend.
It is believed they have offered him big wages and a big transfer fun to make him their next manager at the club.

Southampton were reluctant to part with him and the Blues have been locked in negotiations with the Saints over a compensation package for their manager, and several of his backroom staff.
His brother Erwin Koeman will also be heading to Merseyside, as will coach Jan Kluitenberg.

However, fellow backroom members Dave Watson and Sammy Lee will both be staying on the south coast to continue at St Mary’s.
Lee, of course, is a former assistant at Everton’s fierce rivals Liverpool, and Toffees fans have shared their delight that he will not be joining their club.

Some fans did offer an alternative view on the situation though, joking that Everton could be in for a shock when they discover that Southampton’s success was all down to the former Liverpool man.
