The midfielder is expected to return much sooner after picking up an injury before the draw with Manchester United.
West Ham United co-owner David Gold has provided fans with some good news about injured star Manuel Lanzini, via Twitter.
The attacking midfielder is one of a number of stars who have picked up injuries for the Hammers in the last month, with Slaven Bilic’s squad having been reduced to the bare bones.
There were fears that the Argentine was set to miss all of the Christmas period after suffering a quadriceps injury in training ahead of the draw with Manchester United.
That was set to leave him absent until mid-January, but now Gold has revealed the player is hoping to having him back fit for the game against Swansea on December 20.
“More good news on injuries. Slaven [Bilic] is hoping to have Manuel Lanzini back fit for Swansea on Sunday 20 December,” he wrote on Twitter.
If Lanzini can get fit for the game against the Swans, it will be a huge boost to the Hammers and manager Slaven Bilic.
Having lost Dimitri Payet for a large period of the season, they are hoping that Lanzini can step up and fill the void in the side in his absence.
With him set to return much sooner than expected though, they will be hoping he can play a big role in the busy Christmas period.
