The Celtic manager has brought his former Liverpool and Swansea assistant to the club.
Celtic – Brendan Rodgers Press Conference
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has shared his delight at being able to bring Chris Davies as his assistant manager, to the club’s official website.
Celtic confirmed on Wednesday that they had secured the Reading first team coach and he will move to the club on June 1.
It is not the first time that he has worked under Rodgers, with the duo having enjoyed a good relationship at both Swansea City and Liverpool previously.
They will now start a new chapter together at the Scottish champions, and Rodgers says he is delighted that he has been able to bring Davies to the club as his assistant manager.

“I am delighted to bring Chris to Celtic, he is a magnificent coach and someone I know will make a hugely positive contribution to the club,” he told celticfc.net.
“He has worked with me previously, he is someone I know and trust and he will be a great addition to my team and to the club.”

Rodgers can now turn his attention towards working in the summer transfer window after the capture of Davies.
It has been reported that he will be given the funds to transform the Celtic squad, with the club determined to ensure they can return to the Champions League.
The former Liverpool manager will need several signings if they are to do that though, with the current squad far from the standard that many believe is required for them to compete on the highest stage.
