Besiktas have been linked with a move for the Arsenal goalkeeper.
Arsenal’s asking price for goalkeeper David Ospina is holding up a potential exit from the club, reports the London Evening Standard.
The goalkeeper looks destined to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer having fallen down the pecking order in Arsene Wenger’s thinking.
He managed just four appearances in the Premier League last season as Petr Cech established himself as the undisputed number one following his move from Chelsea.
A move to Turkey has been the most heavily touted, with the Mirror reporting three weeks ago that Besiktas were keen on his signature.
However, they may now turn their attention elsewhere as Arsenal’s asking price for the goalkeeper is something they are not willing to pay.
According to the London Evening Standard, the Gunners want £3million for Ospina and the Turkish side consider that as too much.
It now remains to be seen whether Ospina can secure a move elsewhere in the summer transfer window.
It would not be surprising to see Premier League sides coming in for him as he has proved he can be a capable number one in the division when given the chance.
