The Norwegian youngster is the first signing of Brendan Rodgers’ reign at Celtic.

New Celtic signing Kristoffer Ajer has described the chance to play under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic as a dream come true to the club’s official website.
Rodgers became the new Celtic manager last month in what is considered a major coup for the Scottish champions. He has replaced Ronny Deila at the club, after the Norwegian departed following a disappointing two-year spell at Paradise.

It was Deila who convinced Ajer to make the move to Glasgow this summer, with the highly rated Norwegian teenager becoming the first signing of Rodgers’ reign.
And he has admitted that he is excited to get underway, describing the chance to work with Rodgers as a dream come true.
“I haven’t met him before but I have heard some great things and I’m really excited,” he told celticfc.net.
“I saw Brendan Rodgers had been appointed, and what he brings with him made me really excited. It’s a dream come true, being able play under him and play alongside so many great players.”

It will now be interesting to see if Ajer is given his chance to impress next season.
There is likely to be a number of new arrivals at the club this summer, with it thought they would back Rodgers to ensure they return to the Champions League next season.
However, Rodgers is well known for giving youth a chance, having blooded the likes of Raheem Sterling at Liverpool and perhaps Ajer will be his next success story.
