The Welshman was impressive in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over the Foxes on Sunday.
Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey was in outstanding form at the Emirates as his side grabbed a massive 2-1 victory over title rivals Leicester City.
The Gunners left it late to secure all three points against Claudio Ranieri’s side, as a last-gasp Danny Welbeck header saw them go within two points of the leaders.
They had found themselves a goal down courtesy of a Jamie Vardy penalty, before a Danny Simpson red card swung the game in their favour and Theo Walcott levelled in the 70th minute before Welbeck’s late winner.
Key to their win was midfielder Aaron Ramsey, as he once again demonstrated that he can play in the central midfield role he craves.
As illustrated by the table provided by Opta, the Welshman was heavily involved throughout the game.
| Match | Shots | Accurate Passes | Successful Final Third Passes | Pass Success | Won Tackles | Interceptions Won | Duels Won | Touches | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aaron Ramsey | Arsenal vs Leicester | 4 | 95 | 44 | 90% | 3 | 3 | 5 | 128 | 90 |
In total he posted 128 touches, with all of them being successful, the most enjoyed by any player in the game, as well as registering four shots on goal.
Similarly he posted 95 accurate passes, again the most by any player, with his nearest rival being teammate Nacho Monreal on 72.
Of those 95, 44 were successful passes in the final third, while overall he enjoyed a pass success rate of 90%, the second best tally of any midfielder in the game.
The defensive side of his game was also on form, as he managed to win three tackles, three interceptions and an impressive five defensive duels in a quality 90 minute display.
