Stuart Pearce worries about the effect of Tottenham signing Ross Barkley.
Former England defender Stuart Pearce has told SkySports that he fears Tottenham Hotspur could cash in on Dele Alli.
Speaking to SkySports Morning View on (7/8 at 10.30am), Pearce said he fears the potential signing of Ross Barkley could push Alli out.
Pearce said: “Ross [Barkley] I can see him working at Totenham but his best position is behind the striker where Alli plays, and Son likes to play… unless they are looking to move Dele Alli on dare I say it?”

Pearce believes the time is wrong for Alli to leave Tottenham and they should resist all offers.
He said: “You hope if any finanical advances come for him, they bat them all away.
“If I was advising him I’d say stay put in this country for couple of years, mature as a footballer, Tottenham are on the verge of possibly something big.”

Pearce added that he feels Spurs need just one or two signings this summer to compete for the title.
The Lilywhites have yet to sign any players this summer, although may have to add another right-back with Kyle Walker sold and Kieran Trippier picking up an injury at the weekend.
Selling Alli after letting Walker go would be dimly viewed by Spurs fans, even with Barkley’s arrival from Everton.
