Jack Wilshere’s decision to join Bournemouth on loan has come under fire from SkySports pundit Alan McInally.
Former Scottish international striker McInally felt Wilshere should have chosen to sign with a club abroad on loan for the sake of his development.
Wilshere was allowed to leave Arsenal so he could play regularly, having missed almost two full seasons in his career due to injury.

McInally feels Wilshere has missed a golden opportunity by choosing to sign with the Cherries.
Speaking to SkySports News HQ’s live deadline day coverage, he said: “If Jack Wilshere is going to be one of the best midfielders in England, I don’t understand his thought process.
“Go abroad, go and learn. He wants to get back in the Arsenal first team, I don’t think Bournemouth is the answer. Go abroad and learn your trade. If you are that good you’ll get in the team.”

SkySports reported Italian giants AC Milan and Roma were both interested in Wilshere, but he chose to remain in the Premier League.
McInally is talking from experience, having played for Celtic and Aston Villa, before leaving to play for Bayern Munich for four years.
Also a potential factor in Wilshere’s decision was a lack of confidence after injury despite his usually bullish nature. Roma for instance have strong midfield options including Radja Nainggolan, Daniele de Rossi and Kevin Strootman, and walking into their side was no guarantee.
