Paul Merson has warned Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their match this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Stoke City this weekend at Wembley as they bid to get back on track in the Premier League.

Spurs have failed to win since the international break and they have fallen out of the top four spots.

Paul Merson has told SkySports that he believes Spurs could miss out on the top four at the end of the season if they lose this game.

He is predicting a 3-0 victory for Tottenham, but warns of the consequences if they fail to pick up three points.

“Tottenham need to win this game, otherwise they will be struggling for the top four.

“I think Mauricio Pochettino started off their poor run to be honest, when he took Harry Kane and Dele Alli off against Arsenal, when the game was still in the balance.

“Their performances have been nowhere near as good since.”

Spurs picked up a bit of form this week as they beat APOEL Nicosia 3-0 at Wembley.

Key players Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen were rested, and aim to come straight back into the side and make an impact.

Tottenham are three points behind Arsenal and four behind Liverpool who are currently in fourth position.

A loss against Stoke would be unthinkable and give them a big task to get back into the top four spots, but a win could pile a little pressure on Liverpool ahead of this weekend’s Merseyside derby.
