Duo disagree over the value of the fee required to sign Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle.
Tottenham clinched a surprise deal to sign Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United last night, beating Everton to his signature.
Sissoko had been desperate to clinch a move away from the Championship side, with SkySports reporting the North London club had chosen to pay Newcastle’s £30 million asking price.
Newcastle were able to command that fee for the midfielder after his starring role in France’s Euro 2016 run to the final, in which he outshone and displaced N’golo Kante.

Quizzed about the move on SkySports transfer deadline day coverage at 8pm, former Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier expressed his concern that the transfer was an expensive gamble. At that stage it had appeared he was signing for Everton and not Tottenham.
Le Tissier said: “They’ll be hoping they get the Sissoko from the European Championships, not the Sissoko of Newcaste last season, they were two completely different players.
“Hopefully he’ll be good but on the form of last season that seems a lot of money to me.”
While Le Tissier is sceptical over the fee, his fellow analyst Alan McInally believes the buying club should be pleased with the transfer.
The ex-Scottish international said: “He is a good buy. For every player now you are spending a lot of money.”

With the deal finalised late on deadline day, Tottenham were backed into a corner if they were to get their man, pay up or miss out.
It is now up to Sissoko to show Tottenham that he is worth the investment.
