Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has taken to Twitter to share what Tottenham will do next in the market after signing Cristian Romero.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs are close to completing the signing of Romero in a deal worth £47m from Atalanta.
It’s a fantastic bit of business by Fabio Paratici. The Argentine won Serie A Defender of the Year for his efforts in 2020/21.
Romero also recently lifted the Copa America, playing alongside Lionel Messi.
Now, Bridge has revealed that Paratici will ‘press on with signing’ another defender, a creative midfielder and a new striker.
Who could Tottenham sign?
It seems like Paratici has already identified the defender he wants to bring to N17.

Tottenham are said to have reached an agreement to sign Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu, who played for Japan at the Olympic Games this summer.
In midfield, the source of creativity Spurs are looking for could be found in Mikkel Damsgaard, the Danish maestro who scored against England in the EURO 2020 semi-final.
The Evening Standard believe he is a target, as well as Noni Madueke.

In terms of a striker, Spurs are believed to be in talks to sign Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic.
Interestingly, every player mentioned here – apart from Madueke – plays for an Italian club, so Paratici’s influence is crystal clear.
With just a few weeks until Deadline Day, Tottenham must get moving.
