West Ham United have enjoyed the best week of their season so far.

David Moyes, Manager of West Ham United reacts during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Arsenal at London Stadium on December 13, 2017 in London, England.

David Moyes got off to an inauspicious start West Ham but he has started to turn the corner with the East Londoners of late.

An unfortunate 2-1 defeat at Manchester City was followed by a brilliant 1-0 win over Chelsea and a 0-0 draw with Arsenal, which the Hammers could have won in the dying moments.

West Ham remain in the bottom three of an increasingly congested Premier League going into a crucial game against fellow strugglers Stoke City this weekend.

Recent performances have lifted the spirits at the London Stadium and given renewed hope the club can avoid relegation.

And speaking about the relegation battle as we approach the halfway stage, Sky Sports pundits Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas, Phil Thompson and Paul Merson were all in agreement over the future of the Hammers.

“If you can get results like West Ham have got recently you would think they will get away from it,” Merson told Sky Sports.

Liverpool legend Thompson said: “I think Palace and West Ham are on an upward trend so you would assume they will be safe.”

Arsenal hero Nicholas added: “We could suggest there’s a few clubs in that bracket (not scoring enough goals), but I do expect West Ham and West Brom to improve.”

And Matt Le Tissier feels as many as 10 cubs are in danger but feels Swansea City, Newcastle United and Huddersfield will be the three clubs to go.

The next three games will go a long way to deciding whether the Hammers can fully turn the corner with winnable fixtures away at Stoke followed by Newcastle at home and Bournemouth away.
