Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison has said that Leeds United should not sell Tyler Adams in the summer transfer window.

The former Crystal Palace forward has said on Sky Sports Football (2:22pm, August 5, 2023) that Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is a top player.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that Leeds need to keep the 24-year-old USA international midfielder if they are to win automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

Adams has been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

In June, TEAMTalk reported that Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing Adams.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea have made contact with Adams’s camp, adding that he has a relegation release clause of £20 million in his contract at Leeds.

Morrison said: “What they need to do is keep Adams, the midfielder. I know he has been injured at the moment, but Adams is a top player.”

Leeds United could struggle to keep hold of Tyler Adams

In our opinion, Leeds United could struggle to keep hold of Tyler Adams.

After all, Liverpool and Chelsea are massive clubs who are aware that they need to pay just £20 million to sign the USA international.

We do not think that Adams would turn down the chance to move to Liverpool or Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

After all, the Reds and the Blues are big clubs and global brands.

Liverpool and Chelsea regularly challenge for the Premier League title and compete in the UEFA Champions League.

In fact, the Merseyside club and the London outfit have won the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League in recent seasons.

Leeds are a big club, but there is no guarantee that they will be able to win promotion from the Championship.
