Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to sign any new players so far this summer.
It has been a challenging transfer window thus far for Tottenham, with no new arrivals confirmed as yet, and Mauricio Pochettino will have to get his business in order sooner rather than later, if he is to guide his side to a successful campaign this season.
One particular area of the Argentine’s squad that needs strengthening without doubt is the attacking midfield department, with too much pressure currently on the shoulders of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.

And when writing his column for Sky Sports, Thompson suggested that Spurs should sign Swansea star Sigurdsson, rather than Everton’s Barkley:
“Everton seem to be pricing Spurs out of Ross Barkley. I don’t think £50m is going to happen. His wage demands are going to have to come down and he might have to accept that. Spurs might have to look elsewhere, maybe even at bringing back Gylfi Sigurdsson.”
The Icelandic ace was superb for the Swans last season, playing every single game for the Welsh outfit. He scored nine goals and registered 13 assists in 38 league outings, and was arguably the main reason that his side avoided relegation to the Championship.
And if Pochettino managed to bring him to the club this summer, it would surely prove to be a huge signing for Tottenham.
