Could Tottenham Hotspur be tempted to sell Danny Rose to Manchester United if Luke Shaw is included in the deal?

Luke Shaw is a young and talented defender, but he is not having the best of times at Manchester United at the moment.
The 21-year-old left-back has been on the books of United since 2014, but the England international has not even managed 50 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.
Injuries and fitness have played a big part in Shaw’s struggles at Old Trafford. Earlier this week, United manager Jose Mourinho criticised the youngster for his lack of commitment and complained about his fitness, as reported by BBC Sport.
It seems that Mourinho does not seem to rate the former Southampton defender highly and would not mind if he does not play for his team anymore.
Former Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce has an idea how to solve United’s problem regarding Shaw.
The former Newcastle United and West Ham United defender has suggested a swap deal between the Red Devils and Tottenham – send Shaw to White Hart Lane and get Danny Rose in return.
“If he decides that his manager wants to move him on, then there is talk of Tottenham maybe taking him,” said Pearce about Shaw on the Premier League Daily show on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday morning (broadcast from 10am, April 4, 2017).
“If Tottenham take him, because he has worked with Pochettino, I think the biggest talent in the left-back berth at this moment in time is Danny Rose – another player I have worked with, I think he has turned into one of the top left-backs in the world personally. There might be money available for him in a swap deal possibly.”
Rose is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and has been superb for Tottenham so far this season.
The 26-year-old England international is a key player in Mauricio Pochettino’s team, and one suspects that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is not thinking about selling him in the summer.
However, could a cash plus Shaw offer tempt Spurs into parting company with Rose? What if United agreed to give Tottenham Shaw and £20 million? Could it be tempting for Levy?
