It remains a very odd thing as to why Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish didn’t play for England last night.
Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate left Grealish on the bench for the night as his side lost 1-0 to Denmark at Wembley.
Thing is, the Aston Villa midfielder produced a Man-of-the-Match display in the friendly versus Wales.
As a result, it was thought that Grealish was a shoo-in to start against the Danes – or at least have some sort of role, but Southgate benched him.

The Premier League returns this weekend and Grealish just needs to keep doing what he’s doing.
Aston Villa have won nine points from a possible nine, putting Dean Smith’s side second in the table.
Grealish is already having a very decent season, but he needs to keep it up for the full term if he wants a spot on the plane for Euro 2021.
