Tottenham Hotspur are expected to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Speaking Live on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily at 10:11 am on January 6th, Sky Sports pundit Andy Hinchcliffe shared the one thing that would concern him if he were a Tottenham fan, in regards to their hopes of winning the Premier League title.
Spurs currently sit in third position in the table, just seven points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, and are in the midst of a fine run of form, that has seen them win six of their last seven league outings.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
But Hinchcliffe highlighted one area that could prove troublesome for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, when speaking to Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily:
“Harry Kane was really missed when he was out injured, they don’t really have a viable replacement for him. So my major concern would be where the goals come from. Dele Alli is scoring goals at the moment, but you need a top-class centre-forward scoring goals regularly, so they can ill-afford to be without him [Kane].”
Tottenham’s Harry Kane
Tottenham’s season will likely be defined by the outcome of their fixtures over the course of this next month or so, with tricky away trips to both Manchester City and Liverpool on the horizon.
But if they manage to keep Harry Kane fit, and Dele Alli firing on all cylinders, they have every chance of winning their first league title since 1961.
Next up on the agenda for Spurs though, is their third round FA Cup tie at home to Aston Villa tomorrow.
