Victor Wanyama joined Tottenham Hotspur from Southampton in the summer transfer window, while Vincent Janssen moved from AZ.
Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith said on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, October 21, 2016) that Victor Wanyama has been a superb signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
Wanyama joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, Spurs had to pay the Saints a transfer fee of £11 million in order to secure the services of the 25-year-old former Celtic defensive midfielder.
Former Arsenal and Leicester City striker Smith has also given his opinion on another of Spurs’ summer signings, Vincent Janssen.
Janssen moved to Tottenham from Dutch club AZ for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £18.5m.
“He has been a sensational signing,” said Smith about Wanyama on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, October 21, 2016). “It is early, but the way he has slotted in there… so powerful.”
“I think Janssen is the one player you think he needs a few goals,” added Smith. “I think his all-round game is good, but you can see his confidence suffering when he misses these chances.”

Wanyama has established himself as a key player in the current Tottenham side, and his important for the team is only going to grow.
The Kenya international’s power and force in midfield has made Spurs a better team.
Janssen is struggling for goals at the moment, but there can be no denial that the 22-year-old Netherlands international striker has quality.
