Pontus Jansson joined Leeds United on a season-long loan deal from Torino in the summer transfer window.
Former Everton and Manchester City winger Peter Beagrie praised Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson on Sky Sports 1 on Friday evening (January 13, 2017).
Jansson joined Championship club Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Italian club Torino in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old centre-back has established himself as a key figure in Garry Monk’s team and is very popular among the West Yorkshire club’s fans.
The Sweden international was suspended for last week’s Championship game against Derby County at Elland Road.
Former Everton and City winger Beagrie rates Jansson highly and has showered him with praise.

“I think the fact that he is suspended shows he plays on the edge,” said Beagrie about Jansson on Sky Sports 1 on Friday evening (January 13, 2017) before the Championship match between Leeds and Derby.
“He doesn’t let anybody bully him and he is somebody who the fans identify with because at the very, very least they want someone who gives a 100%.”

Leeds are third in the Championship table at the moment with 48 points from 26 matches.
The Whites are six points behind second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion, who have a game in hand, and seven points behind leaders Newcastle United.
Monk’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Barnsley away from home at Oakwell in the Championship.
Leeds will head into the match against Barnsley as favourites and should be able to pick up all three points from the encounter.
