Tottenham Hotspur have arguably the strongest defence in the Premier League.
Graeme Souness
Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness explained how Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier is good enough to get into pretty much any side in the division, when speaking to Sky Sports News yesterday.
The 26-year-old former Burnley man has been playing more regularly of late, but with Kyle Walker ahead of him in the right-back pecking order at Tottenham, he has his work cut-out if he is to make the position his own over the coming year or so.
With Trippier still hopeful of receiving an England call-up at some point, he must be playing regularly in order to show Gareth Southgate what he is truly capable of.
And Souness told Sky Sports how he believes that there are not too many right-backs out there who are better than the Spurs man:

“Kieran Trippier would definitely get in the Manchester United or Manchester City teams. He has outstanding qualities. Trippier has as much quality going forward as any Premier League full-back right now.”
Mauricio Pochettino will surely want to keep hold of Trippier, but if he cannot guarantee him regular football, he could be tempted to leave the club this summer.
With Tottenham’s ambition to compete on all front next season, however, it will be of paramount importance for them to keep the tightly-knit squad they already have together.
