Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to make a signing this month.

Tony Gale was a guest on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Thursday January 25th, and predicted that Daniel Levy could very well spring a surprise late on in the transfer window, by bringing a big-name signing into Spurs.
Tottenham currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, two points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool, and their fans are crying out for further investment in the squad.

Levy has become well renowned for being frugal with the club’s finances, but it is clearly evident that the Lilywhites need to spend some serious cash, if they are to mount a sustained push for major honours over the next few years.
Gale, though, explained why he believes the Spurs chairman could spring a surprise during the course of this upcoming week, during a guest appearance on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Thursday January 25th:

“Spurs have been quiet haven’t they, but Daniel Levy needs to get a big one in, and he’s notorious for getting deals done at the last minute, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him make a big signing.”
Tottenham still have two games remaining before the transfer window slams shut – a trip to Newport in the FA Cup and a home game against Manchester United in the Premier League, so they will have to get their business done quickly, if they are to make any big-name signings.
Judging on past history, though, it would be no surprise to see Spurs not make any additions this month.
