Former Celtic striker Andy Walker has told Sky Sports that Rangers will lose to Ross County at home in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.

Rangers will take on County at Ibrox in the league on Saturday afternoon.

The Gers will head into the match on the back of a 5-1 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the league.

Many will expect the Gers to return to winning ways, but former Celtic striker Walker believes that Mark Warburton’s side will drop all three points.

While predicting Rangers to lose 2-1, Walker named County striker Liam Boyce as the key player in the match and told Sky Sports: “With Joey Barton banished from the ground for a lack of discipline, can the Premiership’s top scorer pile the pressure on a Rangers side reeling from that 5-1 defeat at Celtic Park last week?”

County are doing well in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and currently find themselves fourth in the league table.

Jim McIntyre’s side do have the ability to win at Ibrox, but Rangers should be considered as favourites for the match this weekend.

The Gers have the better team, and the Glasgow giants will also be keen on bouncing back from the defeat to Celtic.

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with eight points from five matches.

The Glasgow giants are aiming to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the league title during the 2016-17 campaign.
