Manchester United legend Gary Neville has predicted on Skysports.com that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Chelsea are at the top of the league table at the moment with 72 points from 30 matches, seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham.

Liverpool are currently third in the standings with 60 points from 31 matches, while City are fourth with 58 points from 30 games.

Former United star Neville believes that both Arsenal and the Red Devils will miss out on a top-four finish.

The former England international defender, though, has backed Jose Mourinho’s side to win the Europa League this season.

“I think it will be the current top four and Man United and Arsenal will miss out,” Neville wrote on Skysports.com. “It will be difficult for Tottenham to catch Chelsea and I don’t see it happening.

“It was inconceivable to think that Chelsea were going to go the whole season without dropping points.

“They will drop more points before the end of the season, there’s no doubt about that because they have some tough fixtures coming up but can the others capitalise and are they capable of going on the run required to be able to catch them?”

“Liverpool’s fixtures are better [than their rivals] – Arsenal and Man United will fall short, but I do think United will win the Europa League,” The Metro quotes Neville as saying.

It is hard to see Chelsea not win the Premier League title this season, and it is equally tough to envisage Tottenham collapsing in the final weeks of the campaign and dropping out of the top four.

Arsenal and United’s recent performances and results have not been too encouraging, and they will need Liverpool and City to slip up in order to break into the top four.
