David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that the match between Nottingham Forest and Derby County this weekend will end in a draw.

Forest will take on Derby at the City Ground in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Former Forest and Leeds United midfielder Prutton believes that the game will end in a 2-2 draw.

“Forest are in danger of getting sucked into it at the bottom of the table and need that period of stability,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “I think the owner has made the change because if he is looking to sell an asset then it’s not the same if they get relegated.

“Derby have another fresh set of eyes to look over a very talented and well-paid squad who over the last two or three years have not gone to that next level.”

“I reckon this will be a score draw with plenty of entertainment, tackles flying in and good first auditions from the players for their new managers,” added Prutton.

A footnote added: “Prutton predicts: 2-2.”

Forest are 20th in the Championship table at the moment with 40 points from 37 matches.

The Reds are only two points above the relegation zone and are in real danger of going down to League One at the moment.

This will be Mark Warburton’s first game in charge of Forest, who will head into the encounter on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion away from home in the league.

Meanwhile, Derby currently find themselves 10th in the Championship table with 52 points from 37 matches.

The Rams are 10 points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday and are unlikely to end the season in the playoffs.
