Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all will be aiming to win the Premier League title next season, but which teams does Gary Neville back?

Tottenham Hotspur have progressed massively over the past three seasons under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The North London outfit have gone from being a team fighting for the Champions League places to being genuine contenders for the Premier League title.

Spurs failed to end up in the top four of the Premier League during the 2014-15 campaign, but in 2015-16 they ended up third and last season they were second.

The North London club’s fans will expect Pochettino’s side to challenge for the title again in 2017-18, and perhaps many will expect them to actually go all the way and win it.

It is not going to be easy, though, as just like last season, there were be at least five other teams challenging for the Premier League title.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool all will be genuine threats to Tottenham’s title aspirations.

Chelsea won the Premier League title last season, while the two Manchester clubs will be stronger in 2017-18 than they were in 2016-17. Arsenal are always in the mix, while Liverpool seem revitalised under manager Jurgen Klopp.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has given his take on how the 2017-18 Premier League title race could play out.

Although for the England international defender has acknowledged that Spurs will be strong, he has predicted either the Red Devils or the Citizens to clinch the championship.

“I said last season that the title would come to Manchester – and I was wrong – but I think this year it will,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“I think Chelsea will dip a little bit. Not in a negative way, but just having the Champions League will bring different challenges.

“I think Tottenham will be strong, but I feel that either United or City will win it, but I’m not sure who!”
