Leeds United aim to do the double over Aston Villa tonight.
David Prutton has told Sky Sports that he has a “good feeling” about Leeds United picking up a win away to Aston Villa tonight.
Leeds ride the crest of a wave into their trip to Villa Park after smashing Preston North End 4-1 at Deepdale on Boxing Day to consolidate their spot in the top six.
Garry Monk’s side, who sit fifth in the Championship, have been in fine form and United beat Aston Villa 2-0 earlier this month to prove that they have what it takes when it comes to the Villans.
That being said, Steve Bruce’s side have won their last five league games at Villa Park and tonight could be a very different test to the one which Leeds passed back in West Yorkshire.
Nevertheless, fit-again Pablo Hernandez and Chris Wood could be in contention to come back for the Whites, and Prutton believes that his former club could have enough to do the double over their West Midlands counterparts.
“I thought Leeds would find it tough away at Preston but they turned up there with bells on. They have the advantage of having the likes of Chris Wood and Pablo Hernandez back,” he told Sky Sports.
“But Villa have won five on the bounce at home and Ross McCormack is finally getting back amongst the goals after around three months without scoring which is quite a drought for a player of his calibre.
“I just feel that the way Leeds are playing at this moment in time, I have a good feeling about them going there.”
