Former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that Aston Villa will win against Queens Park Rangers at home this week.

Villa will take on QPR at Villa Park in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

“This is a bit of a coin toss,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “QPR could defend well and hit the hosts on the break while Villa can beat anyone off the park when on song.

“Jonathan Kodjia got the winner against QPR earlier this season and he looks to be enjoying working with Steve Bruce. He just might prove the difference again.”

A footnote added: “PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-0.”

Villa are in good form at the moment and will head into the match against QPR with confidence.

The Villans got the better of Norwich City 2-0 at Villa Park in the Championship at the weekend.

Steve Bruce’s side have won their last three league matches and should be able to win against Rangers at home.

QPR’s season is virtually over, as the London outfit have no chance of finishing the season in the top six of the Championship.

Manager Ian Holloway, though, will want his players to play well and perform to the best of their abilities against Villa.

Rangers will head into the match against the Villans on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Derby County away from home at the iPro Stadium in the league.
