Aston Villa and Derby County will face each other in the Championship this afternoon.
Former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that the game between Aston Villa and Derby County will end in a draw.
Villa and Derby will face each other at Villa Park in the Championship this afternoon.
“This is two teams not exactly pulling up trees at the moment,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “Villa are without a win in 10 games in all competitions which is crazy really and Derby haven’t won in five.
“I watched Villa against Newcastle and there was a touch of misfortune at St James’, but I just fancy Derby to go to Villa Park and get something. I think Steve Bruce will eventually get it going, but not this weekend.”
A footnote added: “PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-1.”
Villa are 17th in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 32 matches.
Steve Bruce’s side are only six points above the relegation zone and are in danger of going down to League One at the end of the season.
The Villans will head into the game against Derby on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park in the Championship.
Meanwhile, Derby currently find themselves 11th in the league table with 48 points from 32 matches.
The Rams still have a chance of closing the gap on the playoff spots, but they have to go on a winning run.
Steve McClaren’s side will head into the match against Villa on the back of a goalless draw with Burton Albion in the Championship.
