Leeds United will face Newcastle United in the Championship this weekend.

Former Manchester United and Sunderland defender Danny Higginbotham has praised Leeds United head coach Garry Monk on Sky Sports’ EFL Weekly podcast (November 17, 2016).
Monk was appointed the Leeds head coach in the summer and has done a wonderful job so far this season.
The West Yorkshire outfit are in the running for the Championship playoffs this campaign. Leeds have looked genuine contenders for a top-six finish in the league this season.
Higginbotham, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has praised Monk for the way he has built his team from the back.
“I think one of the things he has done is he seems to have built from the back,” said Higginbotham about Monk on Sky Sports’ EFL Weekly podcast (November 17, 2016).
“I think there are only two teams in the top 10 that have conceded less and for me, that’s what you want to do.
“You build from the back, make sure that it is strong, and obviously he will be wanting to score more goals.”

Leeds have been quite strong defensively, and that has been a key factor in their rise this season.
The Whites are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Newcastle United at Elland Road in the Championship.
The West Yorkshire outfit will not find it easy against the Magpies, who are the current league leaders and have the strongest team in the Championship.
However, Leeds do have the quality to earn a draw against Rafael Benitez’s side at Elland Road.
