Queens Park Rangers will kick off their 2016-17 Championship campaign this afternoon.

Former Sunderland and Derby County attacker Tommy Smith highlighted on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, August 5, 2016) his only issue with the current Queens Park Rangers squad.
Smith believes that his former club QPR lack a bit of flair in attack.
“I think they are going to lack a bit of flair going forward,” said the Englishman on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, August 5, 2016).
“That would be my only issue with them this season, but it would be interesting to see how they progress.”

QPR have been quite busy in the summer transfer so far, signing a number of players in order to have a successful 2016-17 Championship campaign.
The former Premier League outfit have recruited Jake Bidwell, Ariel Borysiuk, Jordan Cousins and Yeni N’Gbakoto among others.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side are not strong enough to challenge for a top-two finish in the Championship this season, but they will be eyeing a spot in the playoffs.

Rangers will kick off their 2016-17 Championship campaign with a home match against Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.
QPR will head into the game against Leeds at Loftus Road in London with confidence.
Hasselbaink’s side will fancy their chances of winning the match, but one should not be surprised if the game ends in a draw.
