Would Tottenham Hotspur be able to sign a striker in the January transfer window?

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has suggested to Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur could struggle to sign a striker in the January transfer window.

The former England international attacking midfielder believes that Tottenham need to sign a striker in order to challenge Harry Kane.

Le Tissier, though, has suggested that Spurs could struggle to find a striker who would be willing to play second fiddle to England international Kane.

“I like Spurs’ squad and I think the only thing would be to get somebody in who is going to challenge Harry Kane, but it’s tough to bring in anyone of quality when they know Kane will be first choice,” Le Tissier told Sky Sports.

Tottenham have a good and strong squad, and in Kane, they have a proven Premier League goalscorer.

The 23-year-old has scored 10 goals and created 22 chances in 15 Premier League appearances for the North London outfit so far this season.

Vincent Janssen was signed in the summer transfer window as back-up to Kane, but the Netherlands international striker has not made a major impact at White Hart Lane so far.

The 22-year-old has scored one goal and created 12 chances in 15 league matches for Tottenham so far this campaign.

Tottenham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 20 matches, seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
