Former Sunderland striker Niall Quinn has told Sky Sports that he was impressed with the performance of Idrissa Gueye for Everton against Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.
Gueye featured for Everton in the Premier League game against Tottenham at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Toffees played out a 1-1 draw with Spurs.

Quinn was impressed with the performance of Gueye for Everton against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
“In Gueye, Everton had a player who shone in midfield and dictated from the engine room,” Quinn told Sky Sports.
“He threw himself around the place, made tackles, made interceptions, broke up Spurs’ passing game time and time again.
“He was running all over the place, showing lots of energy, Like a terrier. At times, when he was under pressure on the ball, he wasn’t bad either – he distributed well.”

Gueye joined Everton from Championship club Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
According to The Guardian, the Merseyside outfit had to pay a transfer fee of £7.1 million in order to secure the services of the Senegal international midfielder.
