Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier gave his opinion on the performance of Moussa Sissoko on his competitive debut for Tottenham Hotspur on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, September 10, 2016).

Sissoko featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Stoke City away from home at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The France international midfielder did not start the match, but he came on as a substitute in the 78th minute.

Former Southampton attacking midfielder Le Tissier was following the game, and he gave his opinion on the performance of Sissoko in the final minutes of the encounter.

“He looked quite sharp, although he did pick up yellow card for a foul on (Erik) Pieters down the bottom left-hand corner there,” said Le Tissier on his competitive debut for Tottenham Hotspur on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, September 10, 2016) when asked about Sissoko’s performance against Stoke.

“But the game was well and truly over, and he did not have that many touches on the ball.”

The game was already over when Sissoko came on as a substitute, as Tottenham were 4-0 up. That was the final score, as the Frenchman enjoyed a winning debut for Spurs.

The 27-year-old former Toulouse midfielder joined the North London outfit from Championship club Newcastle United in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £30 million.

Sissoko did not have a good 2015-16 season with Newcastle, but he had a brilliant 2016 European Championship campaign with France in the summer.
