Diafra Sakho could be back for West Ham United for their Premier League game this evening.

Tony Gale - Sky Sports

Tony Gale said on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday morning (broadcast from 10am, November 17, 2016) that Diafra Sakho is the best striker on the books of West Ham United at the moment.

“He is key,” said former West Ham defender Gale about Sakho on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday evening (broadcast from 10am, November 17, 2016). “I mean, for me, he is the best striker on their books.”

Sakho has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season due to fitness issues.

The Senegal international striker, though, is back to full fitness and has been training with his West Ham teammates.

The 26-year-old could feature for Slaven Bilic’s side in the Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane this evening.

It is unlikely that the former Metz star will start against Spurs, but the striker could make an appearance on the substitutes’ bench.

West Ham need Sakho to get into form soon and start scoring goals.

Andy Carroll is a good striker, but the former Liverpool and Newcastle United man is injured at the moment.

Simone Zaza, signed on a season-long loan deal from Italian giants Juventus in the summer transfer window, has been a massive failure in the Premier League so far this season.
